Entry Requirements

  • Singapore citizens intending to travel to Germany can do so without obtaining a visa for a duration of 90 days.
  • Visitors must possess passports that are valid until the end of the scheduled trip.
  • Passports must valid for at least 3 months  from the date of anticipated return to Singapore.
  • Visitors must provide at least two blank pages of their passports to obtain entry stamps.
  • Visitors are not required to pay any airport tax upon their departure from the airport.
  • Firearm and ammunition are only allowed for military personnel working in Germany.
  • There are no certificates of vaccination required to travel to Germany.
  • A maximum of €10,000 euros or equivalent is allowed at entry and departure.
  • Visitors must provide proof of valid health/accidental/repatriation insurance with full international coverage.
  • Visitors are required to present evidence of sufficient funds through a recent bank statement for the duration of stay in Germany.
  • The power plugs and sockets in Germany are of type F. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.
  • Germany uses the Central European Summer Time zone in Germany (GMT+2) hence, Singapore is 7 hours ahead of Germany
  • Intending visitors can get to Germany from the international airport in Singapore as there is international airport in Changi.

Yes, all applicants, including children, have to make an appointment. For all children below 18 years, both parents need to be present at the Visa Application Centre to sign the VIDEX form. Children below 12 years do not need to be present. All applicants below 18 years, travelling alone or with one parent must submit a signed letter of consent or authorization form and passport copy of the parent not travelling
Can a visa be extended in Germany?
No, you would need to reapply for a new visa in your home or country of residence
