- Three original copies of correctly filled, signed and stamped visa application form.
- Two recent copies of coloured passport-sized photographs which should be taken with a white background. The photograph should follow the specification for a visa application.
- South African passport with a validity of 6 months after exit from the country. The passport should have two blank pages.
- Bank statement from the last 6 months prior to the period of application showing steady and continuous flow of funds. This serves as proof that you can cater for yourself during your stay in the country.
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in Senegal.
- Return and onward tickets with entry and exit dates.
- Valid travel insurance.

Tourist visa
- Tourist visa allows travelers visit Senegal for sightseeing, recreation and relaxation.
- With a tourist visa, you can visit friends and relatives.
- Applicants cannot take up paid or unpaid employment in the country neither can you seek for public funds.
- You cannot take up a course in any of the institutions of learning in the country.
- If you are visiting friends and relatives in Senegal, a letter of invitation from your host should be presented.
- Included in the letter should be the home address and a valid means of identification of your host.
- For non-South Africans visiting the country, a copy of your South African stay permit should be provided.
- Minors should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate.

- If the company is taking up the financial aspect of your visit in the country, it should be clearly stated in the letter.
- Certificate of business registration of the company is required.
- If you have had previous business dealings with the company, a proof of this is required.
- Letter from your current employer in South Africa stating that he/she is aware of your business leave. The duration of the leave should be mentioned in the letter.
