Basic Travel Requirements for Swazis visiting Bermuda

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Bermudian Visa.


  • Original Swaziland passport with validity of at least 45 days from the intended departure date.
  • Bermuda doesn't issue its own visa so you'll need to apply for a multiple-entry transit visa to go through the United Kingdom, the United States or Canada.
  • Onward or return ticket to Swaziland.
  • This visa usually allows a stay of about 21 days but can be extended for up to 6 months upon application at the Bermuda Department of Immigration.
  • Travel itinerary.
  • Valid travel insurance.
  • Proof of financial sustenance in Bermuda.
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • A letter of introduction detailing the purpose of the trip.
  • Documents affirming status in Swaziland and allowance of leave from the relevant authority. e.g. Employers are to present a letter from their employer and students a letter from their schools in Swaziland.
  • The visa applications should be submitted at the UK embassy in Mbabane.
