Swaziland is one of the smallest countries in the world, and it's capital city is Mbabane. Swaziland is a great year round travel destination, but if you want to experience the wildlife, the best time to visit is during the dry season - one of its climate season, the other being the rainy season - drives animals to the water holes and you’ll be more likely to see them. The majority of the population are the Swazi ethnic group with a mix of Zulus and white Africans while Christianity is predominately practised here. The King Mswati-III International Airport is the main international airport for flights that travel to Swaziland. There are no plane, train or boat connections for getting around the cities, the only means of transportation is by using minibuses, cars or taxis. This country is a relatively safe place for travellers to visit with a reduced crime rate. However, it is advised to stay around places where people are and don't try hitchhiking.

• Mbuluzi Game Reserve: a private conservancy which houses herds of giraffe, zebra, nyala, impala, kudu, and over 300 species of birds. The park offers clearly marked walking paths, self-driving trails, lookout points, hiking, and bird hides.

• Hlane Royal National Park: this is the largest of Swaziland game parks and home to four of the Big Five: elephant, lion, rhino, and leopard. The park also supports healthy populations of giraffe, hippo, crocodile, zebra, as well bird species.

• Mkhaya Game Reserve: this is a fantastic safari destination for day tours and overnight stays. Resident wildlife includes black and white rhino, giraffe, sable antelope, and buffalo.

• National Museum: the small and modest National Museum in Lobamba hosts fascinating exhibits on the history, culture, and nature of Swaziland. The displays include examples of traditional dress as well as a few exhibits on the native wildlife and dioramas with typical highveld and lowveld habitats. Outside the Museum, visitors can explore a recreation of a Swazi kraal (village) with thatched huts. This is a great place for visitors to get a general feel of the country and its customs.
