Basic Travel Requirements for Swazis visiting Netherlands
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Dutch Visa.
- Duly completed and signed application form.
- Original Swaziland passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of exit from the Netherlands.
- Your passport must have 2 blank visa pages and cannot have been issued more than 10 years ago.
- Two recent 35x45mm. passport-sized photograph that meets the visa photo requirement.
- For minors traveling alone, the application form must be signed by the parents/legal guardians accompanied by a signed consent form.
- The birth certificate is required for minors as well as a valid means of identification of the parents.
- For Non-Swazis, a valid residence permit to prove residence in Eswatini is required.
- Travel insurance that covers all kinds of medical emergencies up to a minimum of €30,000.
- Travel itinerary showing entry and exit dates from the Netherlands.
- Proof of sponsorship signed by your host in the Netherlands or proof of financial capability that shows you can take care of your expenses during your stay.
- Documentation proving status in Eswatini either as an employee, student or business owner.
- Letter of invitation from a host in the Netherlands if purpose is to visit a friend or relative or hotel reservations spanning the duration of your stay in the Netherlands.
- A cover letter detailing purpose, duration and any other necessary information about the trip.
- For every document, you must provide the original and one photocopy.
- All documents must be drawn up in or translated into Dutch, English, French or Spanish.

Netherlands Short Stay Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The short-stay visitor visa covers a variety of purposes including vacation, cruising, sightseeing, recreational activities, and business.
- You can also visit family and friends with this visa.
- Applicants are not allowed to take up paid work with this visa.
- You cannot take up long term study courses in the Netherlands with this visa type.
- For business purposes, a letter from the inviting company in the Netehrlands stating purpose and duration of the trip is required. This letter should be written on the company's letterhead.
- Documentation showing previous relations with the inviting company is also important.
- If you are visiting a friend or relative, you will need a letter of invitation from your host in the country.
- If the host is responsible for your financial upkeep in the Netherlands, the letter should affirm that.
- Proof of family ties that show you have an incentive to return to Swaziland is required for this visa type.
- Full round trip reservation is required to avoid overstaying in the Netherlands.
- Proof of accommodation in the Netherlands is necessary. This could be in the form of a hotel reservation or a confirmation that you'll be accommodated by your host in the Netherlands.
- Applicants must show proof that they have enough funds to last them the entire duration of stay. For this, the applicant is expected to provide an up-to-date transaction history of the last three months to the application date. This transaction history must show that the applicant can spend at least €34 daily while in the Netherlands.
- Travel insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 is required. This is to take care of any possible health problems the applicant might encounter during the stay in the Netherlands including death.
