Entry Requirements

  • Citizens of Tanzania can travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo by obtaining a visa on arrival valid for up to 7 days. 
  • They are required to possess passports with validity of at least another 3 months from the date of arrival having blank pages for entry stamps.
  • Visitors are required to provide international certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever and Cholera.
  • A computer generated flight itinerary from an airline or copy of flight tickets showing arrival and departure from the country is required.
  • Tanzanians are also  required to show proof of accommodation either in form of hotel reservations or invitation letter from a host living in the country. 
  • Pets are to be accompanied by a valid health certificate stating that the animals are free from ticks and have not been exposed to contagious diseases.
  • Cats and Dogs need an extra Rabies vaccination certificate stating that they have been vaccinated against Rabies not more than 12 months before arriving in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 
  • The Democratic Republic of the Congo uses the West Africa Standard Time zone (GMT+1) hence, Tanzania  is 2 hours ahead of Kinshasa.
