Basic Travel Requirements for Tanzanians visiting United Arab Emirates

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Emirati Visa.

  • A valid Tanzanian passport which must be valid for at least 6 (six) months.
  • The UAE visa application form must be duly filled and signed.
  • Photocopies of the applicant's ID card and passport (including valid and expired visas).
  • Proof of health insurance valid for the whole duration of stay in UAE is required.
  • A copy of the applicant's recent Tanzanian bank statement for 6 (six) months showing that the applicant has sufficient funds to stay in UAE.
  • A Copy of a Confirmed Itinerary which includes the date of arrival and departure.
  • If the applicant will be staying in a hotel, evidence of a hotel reservation is required.
  • Applicants that are not citizens of UAE are required to submit a residence permit.
  • Police report showing that the applicant has not been engaged in any criminal activities.

United Arab Emirates Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A tourist visa is granted to a foreigner whose sole objective of visiting UAE for recreation, sightseeing or casual visit.
  • The passport should have a validity of more than 6 months.
  • There should be two blank pages facing each other.
  • UAE visa application form must be fully completed and signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent photographs [2X2 Inches] with a white background.
  • Passport in original with photocopies of its first five pages.
  • An invitation letter from the host in UAE is required.
  • The letter must clearly explain the relationship with the applicant, duration of stay and purpose of visit to UAE.
  • Bank statements of the last three months showing evidence of sufficient funds for the whole duration of stay in UAE.
  • Travel itinerary indicating travel details, dates of arrival and departure from UAE.
  • A copy of confirmed hotel reservation or booking as proof of accommodation in UAE.

United Arab Emirates Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A transit visa is granted to foreigners transiting through UAE to their destination country.
  • Visa application form must be is correctly filled and signed.
  • Tanzania passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in UAE.
  • The passport must have blank pages available for the UAE visa stamp.
  • The applicant must provide the visa application form of the destination country.
  • A copy of the confirmed flight ticket or travel itinerary to the destination country is required.
  • Receipt showing that the visa fee of the destination country has been paid is required.
  • The required duration of stay in UAE is 4 days.
  • Proof of accommodation for the whole duration of stay in UAE is required.
  • Applicants are not required to overstay or extend the required duration of stay in UAE.
