Albania Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Albanian tourist visa is issued to Thais traveling to Albania for tourism purposes.
  • The currency restriction for entry into and exit out of Albania is 1,000,000 lekë.
  • You are subject to local laws. If you violate local laws, even unknowingly, you may be expelled, arrested, or imprisoned.
  • Visitors should make sure that their health insurance plan provides coverage overseas.
  • Consult your personal health care provider before travel if you have a medical condition. If traveling with prescription medication, check with the government of Albania to ensure the medication is legal in Albania. Always, carry your prescription medication in original packaging with your doctor’s prescription.
  • Public transportation options are limited and not generally recommended for visitors. However, marked taxis are considered safe and recommended for use.
  • If you are traveling as a group for tourism, you should submit a notarized photocopy of the license of Albania Tourism Agency inviting your group.
  • You must show proof that you can cater to all your financial needs while in the Republic of Albania. Foreigners are required to have at least $47 per day. You must also provide copies of your bank statements for the last three months.
  • You are also required to provide proof of your employment status.
    • If you are employed, you should provide a letter from your employer stating the date you were employed, your role in the company and acknowledging your leave from work.
    • If you are self-employed, a copy of the business license, the company’s most recent bank statement and your income tax return should be provided.
