Belgium Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Belgium tourist visa is issued to Thais traveling to Belgium for tourism and visitation purposes.
- Belgium is a Schengen country so visitors can apply for a Schengen visa.
- This visa is valid for 90 days.
- An invitation letter by a Belgian host must be provided by the applicant.
- Your documents will be checked by the Belgian border official, who may ask you a few questions about your trip to Belgium like:
- What is your purpose of visiting Belgium?
- How long do you intend to stay in Belgium?
- Where are you going to stay in Belgium?
- A Language Preference Form will be given to the applicant. Belgian authorities offer to you the opportunity to choose in which of the three national languages of Belgium you wish your application to be treated (French, German or Dutch).
- Applicants are required to submit a document which confirms that they have a travel insurance for Belgium and the whole territory of Schengen, with a minimum €30,000 coverage for medical emergencies
- A cover letter must be provided. This will explain why you wish to visit Belgium and you give further details on your trip.
- Proof of accommodation must be provided by the applicant. A document that shows where you will stay in Belgium. I.e. Hotel reservation for the whole duration of the intended stay in Belgium.

Belgium Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Belgium student visa is issued to Thais traveling to the country for study purposes.
- All official documents are to be legalized consecutively by the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy of Belgium.
- Documentation showing that you've been accepted into an institution in Belgium is required.
- You'll also need to show proof that you satisfy the conditions for access to studying in Belgium. This proof could be academic results or previously obtained learning certificates.
- As an international student, you’ll need to apply for a national long-stay visa which allows you to stay longer than 90 days in Belgium.
- Applicants are to provide proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 covering any medical emergency for the duration of their stay.
- A medical certificate stating you don’t carry any diseases that may endanger public health (such as TB, diseases that require quarantine and other infectious diseases) is also required.
- Proof of financial sustenance for the entire stay in Belgium is needed. This proof could be a valid scholarship offer, recent bank statement, letter attesting sponsorship and a valid ID of your sponsor.
- An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses in Belgium is required.
- You can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break as long as it doesn't affect your studies.
- This visa can be extended to cover the duration of your study in the country.
- Medical certificate issued not more than 6 months to the date of application is important for this application.
- A certificate of good conduct not more than 6 months to the date of the application is required to show you've not been convicted for any crimes.
- For minors, a letter of authorization signed by both parents and the original copy of your birth certificate should be presented.
