Basic Travel Requirements for Thais visiting Cyprus
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Cypriot Visa.
- An international passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have two blank pages for visa stamp.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- Recently taken passport sized photographs 2X2 inches in size and taken against a white background.
- A complete travel document.
- Proof of financial status valid for the duration of your stay in Cyprus.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country.

- The Cypriot tourist visa is a visa issued to foreigners who intend to visit Cyprus for tourism, visitation, vacation and other recreational purposes.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form with two passport-sized photographs attached to it.
- If the applicant is a minor the parent or legal guardian has to sign the form on behalf of the applicant.
- An international passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the period of your intended stay in Cyprus.
- A complete travel itinerary and a copy of your round trip ticket showing your entry and exit dates.
- Applicants are advised not to purchase tickets before the visa is issued.
- Proof of hotel reservations or accommodation in Cyprus.
- An invitation letter from a friend or relative in Cyprus. The letter must show their full address, contact details and occupation in Cyprus.
- Bank statements or traveler's cheques to show that the applicant has sufficient funds to cover the cost of his/her intended stay in Cyprus.
- An official letter from the applicant's employer in Thailand addressed to the consulate of Cyprus with proof of the applicant's wages or salary and the applicant's current job position.
- Self employed Applicants are expected to submit a letter from their accountant or bank account manager.
- The Consulate may also ask for a copy of a Bank Guarantee Letter from the host, throughout a visitor's stay in Cyprus so as to cover the visitor’s cost of stay in the country.
Cyprus Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Cyprus business visa is issued to Thailand business travelers visiting Cyprus for business transactions.
- Foreigners can negotiate and sign business deals with their business partners in Cyprus with this visa.
- Applicants who have the intention of attending conferences should pre-register for the conference before visiting Cyprus.
- A letter from your employer in Thailand stating your job position and the terms of the applicant’s employment contract is required.
- The duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should also be stated in the letter.
- An official letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead stating the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit to Cyprus should be provided. The letter should be signed by an authorized signatory in the company.
- Certificate of Business Registration of the company you are meeting with in Cyprus must be provided.
- If there have been any business dealings between the company in Cyprus and the company in Thailand a letter should be submitted to prove this.
- If the responsibility of the applicant’s finances will be taken up by the host company or the applicant’s employer, it should be stated in the business letter.
- Proof of the incentive of returning to Thailand after the expiry of your business visa should be submitted. This can be a copy of your flight return ticket to Thailand.
- Proof of accommodation in Cyprus.
- Bank statement to show the applicant's financial capability to cover expenses while in Cyprus.
