Basic Travel Requirements for Thais visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.

  • A completed visa application form.
  •  passport with 6 months validity before exiting Germany with blank pages for visa stamps.
  • Two recently taken coloured passport photos of 32- 36mm in height, taken against a gray background is required.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations in Germany
  • Applicants planning to stay with friends or relatives are expected to submit a copy of their passport and proof that they can support their stay.
  • Flight return ticket.
  • Travel itinerary.
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months to show proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay period.

Germany Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • German tourist visa is a visa issued to foreigners visiting Germany for sightseeing, tour or visitation.
  • A complete, correct and signed German visa application form.
  • A German declaration of the accuracy of information is required.
  • A recently taken identical passport-sized photos.
  • A valid passport not older than 10 years with at least a blank page for visa sticker.
  • A cover letter stating your purpose of visit to Germany, how long you intend to stay in Germany and what you will be doing in Germany is required.
  • Personal bank statements for the last 3 months to show proof of sufficient funds to cover your period of stay in Germany.
  • Schengen travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 to cover accident or illness during your stay in Germany.

Germany Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A German student visa is a visa issued to foreigners visiting Germany for full-time academic studies or a mandatory preliminary internship.
  • Two completely filled and signed visa application forms.
  • An international passport valid for your study year and must have blank pages for entry and exit stamps.
  • Previously used passports (if any).
  • A recently taken identical passport-sized photos.
  • A letter stating your reason for choosing the university and course of study.
  • Proof of admission into a learning institution in Germany. The following document can be used to show proof of admission:
  • University admission letter.
  • Letter of admission in a foundation course.

    Germany Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

    • A German medical visa is a visa issued to Foreigners visiting Germany for the purpose of seeking and receiving medical treatments.
    • Applicants staying in German for more than 30 days are advised to obtain a national medical visa.
    • Two fully completed and signed visa application forms.
    • Two identical recently taken passport photos.
    • A passport not older than 10 years with at least three months validity and blank pages for visa stamps is required.
    • A copy of your passport data page in A4 size.

    • A letter issued by your health insurance company that confirms you have travel insurance of €30,00 that

    • Proof of paid medical fees.
    • A letter from a doctor in Thailand stating that he/ she is aware of your illness and you will be attended to on arrival.
    • Proof of paid visa fees.

    Germany Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

    • A German work visa is a visa issued to foreigners who are qualified, skilled, experience and desire to work in Germany for a certain period of time.
    • Two completely filled and signed German visa application form.
    • A recently taken identical passport-sized photos.
    • A valid passport not older than 10 years with at least a blank page for visa stickers.
    • A German declaration of accuracy of information.
    • Your driver's license or utility bill to show proof of residence in your home country.
    • An employment contract or a binding job offer stating your gross annual salary and a description of your employment in Germany.
    • A cover letter written by you stating your purpose of visit to Germany and your duration of stay.
    • A document showing approval by the federal employment agency. (if applicable).
    • Your updated curriculum vitae showing your academic qualifications and your job experience.
    • A health insurance certificate from your German employer valid from your employment date.

    • A letter from the police of your home country stating that you have a clean criminal record and you have not been convicted of any criminal offense.
    • Proof of a paid visa fee of €75 for a long-stay visa.
