Basic Travel Requirements for Thais visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • A completed visa application form.
  •  passport with 6 months validity before exiting Germany with blank pages for visa stamps.
  • Two recently taken coloured passport photos of 32- 36mm in height, taken against a gray background is required.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations in Germany
  • Applicants planning to stay with friends or relatives are expected to submit a copy of their passport and proof that they can support their stay.
  • Flight return ticket.
  • Travel itinerary.
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months to show proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay period.
  • A document showing the purpose of your visit to Germany.
  • Minors traveling alone are expected to show a consent letter written and signed by both parents.
  • Minors traveling with one parent are expected to show a consent letter by the other parent giving approval to the trip.
