Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Hungary

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Hungarian Visa.

  • Hungary visa application form, that is completely filled and signed. 
  • 2 recent passport photos must show the whole-face capture with a light background.
  • Your passport and copies of your previous visas – valid for at least 3 months beyond return date are required. Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
  • A copy of your return-ticket reservation. It is not recommended to purchase the ticket before obtaining the visa – if not otherwise required
  • Travel visa insurance confirmation of minimum €30,000  coverage within Hungary.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Hungary 
  • The travel itinerary is also required.
  • Flight air ticket reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Hungary
  • Hotel Booking Reservation for the whole duration of the intended stay in Hungary
  • Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable)
  • Means of subsistence – Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Hungary.
  • The Hungary visa fee of 60euros is non-refundable eenif visa is denied.

Hungary Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The tourist visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Hungary for tourism, sightseeing, and other leisure activities require the Hungarian tourist visa. 
  • This visa grants a stay of not more than 90 days in Hungary.
  • One visa application form must be completed fully and accurately. 
  • An incomplete visa application form will not be accepted and applicants will have to make a new appointment.
  • 1 recent clear and colored passport-size photograph, with a white or grey background, must be submitted with your application form.
  • Tunisia passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the approved duration of the stay in Hungary.
  • Passport must have at least two blank visa pages. 
  • If applicant has been issued a new visa within the last 3 years, the original copy of the previous passport must be provided.
  • Applicants are to make photocopies of the personal data page of your passport, all visas in it, and your national identity card.
  • Applicants must provide proof of hotel accommodation in Hungary for the entire duration of your stay, such as a confirmed hotel booking clearly showing the name and contact details of the hotel.
  • A tour itinerary of the planned trip showing the schedule of activities, places applicant plan to visit and how long the applicant intend to stay in Hungary should be submitted.
  • Letter of invitation from host in Hungary stating the relationship with the applicant, duration of sty and purpose of visit is required.
  • The letter must indicate if the applicant will be financially sponsored by the host and be accommodated by the host in Hungary.
  • If you are retired, you must provide proof that you are receiving a pension or other financial support.
  • Holders of tourist visas are not to partake in any business activity take up any study in Hungary.

Hungary Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The business visa is issued of foreigners visiting Hungary for business purposes such as attending business meetings, conferences, seminars, negotiating and signing business contracts with other business partners or companies in Hungary.
  • Invitation letter from the Hungarian company applicant will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied by the dates of the visit.
  • A certificate/ approval letter from the applicant’s employer in Tunisia stating/allowing the business travel.
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
  • A business bank statement of the last 6 months is required.
  • Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint-stock companies), Trade License (first issued and present renewal), and Proprietorship/Partnership documents are also required.
  • Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in Hungary, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
  • Invitation letter from the Hungarian company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit
  • A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel.
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
