Basic Travel Requirements for Ugandans visiting Belgium
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Belgian Visa.
- A duly completed Belgium visa application form.
- An original passport with a validity of at least 6 months after exiting from Belgium.
- Two blank pages for visa stamps.
- Two identical passport-sized photographs that meet the Belgium visa photo specification.
- Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
- Proof of financial capability for the duration of stay.
- Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations.
- A valid travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros.
- Copy of return flight ticket.

Belgium Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is meant for travelers looking to visit Belgium for less than 90 days for the sole purpose of tourism.
- Holders of the Belgium tourist visa can also visit friends and family while in the country.
- You are to provide an invitation letter from your host in Belgium stating the full contact details and addresses of the host.
- You are not permitted to engage in any business activity while in the country.
- This visa does not serve study purposes.
- Applicants of this visa are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid jobs in the country.
- Non-Ugandans should provide a copy of their residence permit in Uganda.
- Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.
- Applicants are to submit a document to prove they will return back to their home country after the visa expires.
- During your time in the country, you are not to seek public funds.
- If you are under the age of 18 years visiting the country with or without your parents, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided.
Belgium Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A business visa is given to those planning to visit Belgium for temporary work or business.
- This visa definitely does not grant the applicant the right to take up permanent employment in Belgium.
- Holders of the Belgium business visa can also attend business summits, conferences and trade fairs.
- Applicants are to provide a letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead. The letter should include; the corporate name of the company, address of the company and purpose and duration of the visit to the country.
- A certificate of business registration of the company should also be provided.
- Photocopy of valid means of identification of the person who signs the letter of invitation is required.
- If your trip to Belgium would be sponsored by the inviting company, the letter of invitation should be accompanied by the original bank statement of the company from the past 12 months.
- A letter from your current employer in Uganda should be provided. The letter should be a confirmation of your business leave by your employer.
- Non-Ugandans should ensure they have the original copy of their Uganda stay permit before applying for this visa.
- If you are traveling with a minor, a document of consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
- You are not allowed to be paid for any service you render in the country.
Belgium Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Only applicants who are intending to study in a Belgian institution can apply for the Belgium student visa.
- Applicants who want to conduct research or even undergo some kind of educational training and internship for less than 6 months are eligible for a student visa.
- Before you can apply for this visa you must have been accepted in one of the schools in the country.
- An enrollment certificate of an offer letter showing acceptance into a course or training program. The letter must include the name of the institution and the valid contacts of the institution.
- You are to provide a Certificate of completion or courses of schools attended earlier.
- If you are a minor traveling alone, a letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided during the visa application process.
- You can work for about 20 hours per day as long as it does not interfere with your study.
- Non-Ugandans should provide a copy of their Uganda stay permit is required.
- Financial sustenance or proof of sponsorship/scholarship is required.
- If you are being sponsored by your parents, original letter from parents stating that they will be responsible for your finances during your time in the country.
- Applicants should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate.
- Proof of paid tuition fees should be provided.
