Cameroon Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Ugandans traveling to Cameroon for tourism purposes can apply for the Cameroonian tourist visa.
- This visa is valid for a period of up to 90 days.
- An International Certificate of Vaccination against yellow fever is required during the visa application. Other vaccines and treatments for malaria are also recommended.
- For visits longer than four weeks, proof of polio vaccination must be presented.
- A letter of invitation from your host in Cameroon is needed. Without this invitation, the traveler must be ready to provide proof of a confirmed hotel reservation in Cameroon.
- While Cameroon has no official currency restrictions, travelers are required to make a declaration when they are exiting the country with amounts of up to XAF 3,000,000 or more.
- Applicants are required to provide proof of a means of subsistence while in Cameroon. This could be in the form of a signed copy of a bank statement indicating a minimum sum of 3000 dollars.
- The Hilton and Mont Febe hotels offer a shuttle service from Yaoundé-Nsimalen Airport to downtown Yaoundé. You might want to take advantage of this service during your trip.
- While in Cameroon, you can report crimes to the local police by simply dialing 117.
- In Cameroon, it is illegal to take pictures of government buildings, military installations, and other public facilities, many of which are unmarked. You could be fined, have your photographic equipment confiscated, or be detained or arrested. Also, do not take photos of people without their permission.

Cameroon Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Cameroonian business visa is issued to Ugandans with the intention of conducting business in the country.
- The business visa is of two types:
- The single-entry visa -- this visa is processed within 8 business days.
- Multiple-entry visa -- this visa is processed within 10 business days.
- The single-entry visa is of two types: the Expedited and Standard single-entry.
- Once the business visa is issued to the applicant, its recipient must enter Cameroon within ninety (90) days of the date of issuance.
- The granted visa will start counting or will be valid for the duration (up to 30 days, 3 months, or 6 months) printed in the traveler’s passport as of the date of entry into Cameroon.
- After 90 days, a visa becomes void if it has not been used within that time-frame.
- Travelers finding themselves with a void visa and desiring to travel to Cameroon at a later time have to submit a whole new visa application including all the required documentation.
- For multiple-entry visas, a traveler is allowed to re-enter, after exiting Cameroon the first time, only during the validity period remaining on the visa.

I am travelling from Uganda to cameroon to attend a workshop what type of visa do I need.
I am travelling to Cameroon on the invitation to a 3-day workshop organized by the AO alliance. my travel and accommodation are taken care of. I want to be accompanied by my wife and would like to get a visa for her. how do I go about it??
