Chad Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The chad tourist visa is issued to Ugandans traveling to Chad for tourism purposes, sightseeing and leisure.
  • Holders of this visa can also visit friends and family because it also serves as a visitor visa.
  • Documents that can prove your relationship with your host in Chad should be provided during the visa application.
  • Your host must provide a letter of invitation which will be submitted with other documents during the visa application.
  • Foreigners who currently occupy a position in a company in Chad are required to provide their original letter of employment. The letter must contain the approved leave dates of the applicant.
  • You are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid jobs while in the country. It is considered illegal.
  • Applicants who are under the age of 18 years are required to be in possession of a notarized consent which carries the signature of both their parents.
  • Holders of the Tourist visa are not permitted to take up permanent residence in Chad.
  • You are to exit the country on or before the expiration of your visa.
  • Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.
  • Means of subsistence for the period of stay in chad is required.

Chad Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa type is for Ugandans traveling to chad for business purposes.
  • Holders of this visa can attend trade fairs, seminars, and conferences while in the country. 
  • Foreigners whose purpose of visiting Chad is to attend a trade fair, seminar or conference should provide proof of pre-registration for such an event.
  • An original letter of employment, certifying that the applicant is an employee of the company and in good standing, is required. The letter must indicate the dates for which leave was approved and the intended date of return to the company.
  • The host company in Chad you are visiting should provide a letter of invitation. This letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead, must be well-dated, and must state what businesses will be carried out in Chad.
  • A business cover letter from the sending company in Algeria is required. This letter should state in detail, information regarding the applicant’s employment in the company.
  • Proof of means of subsistence either by the applicant or the host company should be provided during the visa application.
  • Instead of providing physical passport photos, you can upload the photograph when filling the visa application form.
  • You cannot take up part-time or full-time courses in an academic institution in the country on this visa.
  • Computer-generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets should be provided.
  • An international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required of Ugandan applicants.
  • The visa can be extended in chad if required.
