Basic Travel Requirements for Emiratis visiting Nigeria
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Nigerian Visa.
- Applicant’s original passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Nigeria.
- Applicants are required to submit a fully completed and signed Nigerian visa application form.
- Two recent passport size photographs taken against a white background is required.
- A Letter of Invitation from a company/host in Nigeria accepting applicant’s responsibility.
- Applicants are required to show evidence of sufficient funds.
- The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information.
- A copy of your hotel confirmation(s) is required.
- Minors are required to submit photocopies of parents' passports or valid ID, a copy of birth certificate and notarized letter of consent jointly signed by both parents.
- International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required.

Nigeria Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Applicant’s current passport with at least 6 months validity is required.
- Completed and signed Nigerian visa application form
- Receipt showing confirmation of visa application fee payment is required.
- 2 passport size of the last 6 months is required.
- Valid return airline ticket.
- Holders of non–UAE passports must provide proof of legal residency.
- If the applicant will be visiting relatives or friends in Nigeria, a signed letter of invitation from host explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel.
- The letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and contact information.
- If host is a resident in Nigeria, copies of host's resident permits and the information page of their passports.
- Copy of confirmed hotel and/or cruise reservation(s.) If staying in various hotels, please provide copies of each reservation.
- A letter from inviting family member or friend is required if they are providing accommodations to the applicant.
- A child (under 16) who is not traveling with both parents or a legal guardian must provide a notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s) or guardian authorizing the Nigerian Consulate to issue a visa to the minor.
- A copy of the child's birth certificate and guardianship or custody agreement documents are also required
- Evidence of sufficient funds to support stay in Nigeria; most recent bank statement
Nigeria Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreign Travelers who wish to visit Nigeria for the purpose of Meeting, Conference, Seminar, Contract Negotiation, Marketing, Sales, Purchase distribution of Nigerian Goods, Trade Fairs, Job Interviews can apply for the Nigerian business visa.
- Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank visa pages for the visa stamp.
- Two recent, identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.
- The Nigerian visa application form must be correctly filled and signed by the applicant.
- Bank statement of the last 6 months showing evidence of sufficient funds for the whole duration of stay in Nigeria.
- Evidence of Hotel Reservation/host address in Nigeria.
- Letter of invitation from host company, in Nigeria, accepting full immigration and financial responsibility as well as stating purpose of visit and duration of stay.
- The signed letter of invitation from the host company in Nigeria should explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel to Nigeria. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and contact information.
- Letter from employer in UAE, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to Nigeria.
- The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Nigeria.
- Flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets showing round trip travel to Nigeria and onward flight.
- Applicants that are not citizens of UEA are required to provide a copy of their valid residency permit.
