Entry Requirements

  • For a period of 30 days, nationals of Vietnam can visit Indonesia without applying for a visa.
  • Intending visitors are required to have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the date of their arrival in Indonesia. The passport should also have two blank pages.
  • On entry and exit from Indonesia, travellers with the local currency exceeding IDR 100,000,000 require approval from the Central Bank or External Affairs, and foreign currencies exceeding IDR 100,000,000 must be declared on arrival.
  • Vietnamese are to provide evidence of confirmed means of accommodation for their stay in Indonesia, which can be a hotel reservation.
  • Tourists are also required to show proof that they have enough funds to cover their expenses while in Indonesia. A valid onward or return ticket back to Vietnam is needed as well.
  • Vietnam citizens visiting Indonesia with pets must have a rabies vaccination certificate issued by government veterinarian or licensed veterinary practitioner. The vaccination shall have been performed at least 30 days and not more than 1 year prior to travel.
  • A yellow fever vaccination certificate is not required from nationals of Vietnam on arrival, they are however advised to be vaccinated against common illnesses before travelling.
  • Minors must show travel authorization from their parents or guardians and a copy of their birth certificate.
