Basic Travel Requirements for Vietnameses visiting Italy
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.
- A passport valid for 6 months from the intended date of exit from the country. The passport should have two blank pages for a stamp and to affix the visa.
- A duly completed visa application form. The application form should be signed and stamped where necessary.
- Two identical passport-sized photographs taken with a white background which follows the visa application specification(35mmx45mm). The photograph must not be older than 6 months from the time of application.
- Original copies of your bank statement for the last three months prior to the date of application for the visa. This is proof that you have sufficient funds to cater for yourself while you are in the country.
- Valid travel insurance that has a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
- A copy of the hotel reservation for the duration of your stay in France.
- A return or onward flight ticket is to be submitted.
- A copy of the travel itinerary.

General Requirements for Italy Visa

Italy Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Italian visa is for the purpose of sightseeing, relaxation, and recreation.
- Holders of this visa can also attend events and festivals asides recreation activities.
- An invitation letter with the host's home address and the number is required.
- Travelers with this type of visa are not permitted to study in any higher institution of learning.
- Employed citizens of Vietnam are required to provide a letter from their employer. The letter should indicate that your employer in your home country is aware of your leave.
- Travel insurance with a minimum value of 30,000 euros should be submitted.
- If you plan to stay with a friend who resides in Italy or make hotel reservations, documents which states whether you are staying with a host or at a hotel must be submitted.
- A proof of your financial sufficiency to cover your expenses during the duration of your stay should also be submitted. The evidence can include a bank certification, bank books, personal bank statements, credit statements or balance covering the period of the last six months.
- If your trip expenses are going to be sponsored by another person, a sponsorship letter is to be written and presented at the Embassy. It is also called an Affidavit of Support.
- A copy of the applicant's travel itinerary which up-to-date with flight departure and return dates is one of the requirements during the visa processing.
- Those who are going to stay with a host are expected to provide proof of their relationship with the host.
- You are expected to provide a copy of your Vietnam stay permit.
- The original copy of the minors’ birth certificate is required. If they are not traveling with their parents, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided.
- A document that shows that you have the incentive of returning to Cameroon is required.
- Applicants should ensure they have the receipt of paid visa application fees.
Italy Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Those who apply for this type of visa have been offered employment by an employer in Italy.
- A copy of the employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee should be provided.
- You are expected to submit a copy of your Curriculum Vitae or resume during the visa application process.
- Original and photocopy of the Work Permit issued by the Italian Immigration Office should be submitted.
- Non-Italian citizens applying for this visa are required to present a copy of their residence permit.
- A proof that there was no Italian willing and qualified to take up the job you were offered is required.
- All the documents to be submitted should be provided in original and copy.
- Applicants who submit forged or fake documents will be prosecuted.
- Employers have to request authorization to hire a foreign worker living abroad from the ISD.
- Each applicant's employer is expected to submit a so-called “Stay contract” (“Contratto di soggior- no”) in which she/he commits him/herself to guarantee adequate lodging for the requested worker and to fund travel costs for his/her repatriation in case of expulsion before the expiry of the contract.
- Once all the checks have been made by both Labour Authority (“Direzione Territoriale del Lavoro”) and local State Police offices (“Questura”), the authorization (“nulla osta”), may be delivered to the applicant's employer.
- The residence permit is issued at the new arrival’s local police station
Italy Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Italian business visa is for business travelers or highly skilled professionals who want to engage in business activities.
- The visa is valid for 90 days.
- An official invitation letter from the Italian company must be written on the company’s letterhead and must state the duration and the purpose of the visit.
- A proof of previous business dealings between the companies involved should be provided if any.
- Applicants are required to submit their own personal bank statements not more than three months.
- The only documents that can be submitted in photocopy are the identity card and the passport of the Italian sponsor signing the letter of invitation.
- In the case of owners of small businesses, if for some reason they have only their company’s bank statement, an original letter of the bank stating that they are the sole signatory of the account should be submitted.
- The Italian consulate would require a minimum of three (3) consecutive empty pages in your passport in order to issue a visa STICKER on your passport.
- A copy of a medical certificate to prove you are of good of health is required.
Italy Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Italian business visa is for business travelers or highly skilled professionals who want to engagie business activities.

Italy Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreign students from Vietnam are eligible for this type of visa which allows holders to study in Italy.
- This visa is also known as a 'Type D' Schengen visa.
- There are two types of Italian student visa:
- Short-stay study visa – this visa is valid for 90 days, applicants can study language courses with it for a short period of time.
- Long-stay study – this visa is valid for a year plus. It allows students to study for a long period of time.
- A letter of acceptance from the institution you have been accepted into should be provided. The letter must be printed on the institution's letterhead and state the course the applicant will be studying.
- Certificates and transcripts of the previous schools applicants have attended are to provided.
- Students are required to provide proof that they have financial support and should have at least € 448,07 per month for the academic year, a total of € 5824,91 per year.
- Student will need to apply for a work permit at a local immigration office in Italy to work part-time while studying.
- Students under employment will need to sign an employment contract and show a copy at the immigration office.
- Within 8 working days, students are to apply for a residence permit. Students can apply at the post office of their city of residence in Italy.
- The residence visa permit can be renewed.
- A proof of proficiency in Italian or English is required.
