Entry Requirements
- The visa policy in Malaysia permits citizens of Vietnam to visit the country for a duration of 30 days without obtaining a visa.
- Foreigners will be required to present a passport valid for at least 6 months on their arrival in Malaysia. The passport should have at least one blank page for visa stamping.
- On entry into Malaysia, tourists with over $10,000 ringgit notes will be asked to declare it.
- Also, when exiting Malaysia, visitors would not be allowed to leave with ringgit notes of over $10,000.
- Travellers from Vietnam with pets must have a health certificate, which has been issued 7 days prior to departure and stating that during the preceding 6 months, no case of rabies has occurred. Also, the pet must have an anti-rabies vaccination certificate.
- Visitors are required to have a return or onward ticket and proof of sufficient funds to sustain them throughout the duration of their stay.
- Although a certificate of yellow fever vaccination is not required on arrival into Malaysia, tourists are advised to be vaccinated against common illnesses before embarking on the travel.
- Travellers who are regarded as persona non grata by the Malaysian government will not be allowed entry into the country.
- Minors travelling to Malaysia must possess travel authorization from their parents or guardians.
- Tourists can get to Malaysia from any international airport in Vietnam. There are international airports in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
