Basic Travel Requirements for Zimbabweans visiting Canada
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.
- Two completed and signed visa application forms.
- A passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date.
- 2 blank pages of the Passport for visa stamp.
- Three passport-size photographs of size 4.5 x 3.5 cm taken in a white background.
- Proof of financial capability.
- Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing the applicant’s ties to the home country.
- A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
- Medical insurance that covers the entire duration of stay.
- Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
- Copy of travel itinerary.

Canada Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The visitor/tourist visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of visiting Canada for sightseeing, tourism, and recreation purposes.
- A Canadian tourist visa is also known as Canada visitor visa or Canadian Temporary Resident Visa(TRV).
- Applicants can also apply for the Canadian visitor visa to see their family and relatives.
- Foreigners who have the intention of engaging in business activities in the country can visit the country on this visa.
- Business travelers visiting Canada can attend conferences, business summits, and trade fairs in the country.
- People who want to transit through Canada to their destination country are also eligible for this visa.
- Applicants of this visa are required to provide a diagnosis from their local physician in Zimbabwe showing they would be traveling in good health.
- Foreigners on this visa can apply for an extension.
- To get an extension, you need to apply before the visa expires.
- For applicants who are under the age of 18, the original copy of their birth certificate should be provided.
- If you will be traveling without supervision, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
- If you have a host in the country, a letter of invitation bearing the address and valid contact details from the host is required.
- Applicants are advised to apply at least 45 days before their proposed journey.
- You are required to present the receipt of the paid visa application fee before you can be issued this visa.
Canada Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Student Visa is issued to students who have the intention of studying in any of the academic institutions in Canada.
- Applicants of this visa need to obtain a study permit before they can start studying.
- Once you have a Canadian study permit, you can apply to renew it from within Canada if you decide to continue your studies.
- Holders of this visa can request an extension on this visa type. The extension must be extended 3 months before the time of expiry of this visa.
- Foreign students in Canada can work part-time while school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
- A letter of acceptance from the institution that the applicant of this visa has been accepted should be provided.
- The letter should state the course to be studied and the duration of the study program.
- A medical report from the applicant’s doctor in Zimbabwe showing that the applicant is in good health condition is required.
- Foreign students can stay in Canada for an extra 90 days after the completion of their course.
- Applicants of this visa would be asked to provide a police document showing that they have no criminal record.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate which carries the name of both parents should be provided.
- Certificates and transcripts from previous schools attended by the applicant of this visa are required for the application.
- There should be proof of the applicant's proficiency in the English language.
- Applicants are to provide proof of part or full payment of tuition fees.
- Intending students would need to submit documents providing proof that they have the incentive of returning to their country.
Canada Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreigners applying for the work visa are those who have the intention of taking up paid employment in the country.
- Before initiating the visa application process, the applicant should confirm that he/she has been employed by an employer in the country.
- A letter of employment written on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the term of the contract and the position the applicant has been employed to fill.
- The employer in Canada should provide proof that the applicant will not be paid below the minimum wage paid to Canadians during the duration of employment.
- Proof that there was no Canadian available to take up the job at the time the applicant was offered this job is required.
- Applicants applying for this visa are required to provide a medical report from a local physician in Zimbabwe which shows that they are in good health.
- Foreigners in Canada can apply for an extension to the duration of their work permit. Applicants must apply for an extension before the visa expires.
- You will not be issued this visa if you do not have the right qualification that matches the job that you have been offered.
- A copy of your resume or CV should be provided.
- To work in Canada temporarily, foreigners will require a work permit.
- You must have a good command of the English language before applying for this visa.
