Basic Travel Requirements for Zimbabweans visiting Denmark
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Danish Visa.
- A valid passport issued within 10years of the application period.
- A fully completed and signed visa application form.
- A minimum of two passport photos taken within the last 3 months.
- Two blank passport pages for visa stamps.
- A valid travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of 30.000 euros.
- Proof of accommodation for your entire stay in Denmark.
- A detailed flight itinerary.
- Proof of financial independence (e.g. bank statements or payslips), or proof of financial support by the sponsor.
- Proof of your purpose of travel(e.g. an employment contract, letter of admission or proof of academic qualifications).
- Return flight ticket to Zimbabwe (Short-stay travelers).
- Repatriation commitment note (Long-stay travelers).

Denmark Short-stay Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This is referred to as the Type-C visa and is issued to those who want to travel to Denmark for tourism, business, visit or other short-term activities.
- The Type “C” Visa is issued for a fixed time not exceeding 90 days per period of six months from the first entry.
- Travelers must have their passport with at least 6-months of validity from the date of arrival and have at least one (1) page available for stamping.
- Holders of this visa are prohibited from engaging in business or work-related activities in Denmark.
- Note that the possession of a visa for Denmark does not provide an automatic right of entry for the holder into the country.
- The immigration officer at the port of entry may refuse entry to any person if they consider that such a person is unable to fulfill the immigration requirements.
- Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 50 euro per day for the entire period of stay in the country.
- Visa applicants who make the proof of an anticipated and whole payment of tourist package services as regards at least accommodation and nourishment are exempt from submitting the proof of financial means of support.
Denmark Long Stay Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to those who have intentions to stay in Denmark for a long time as foreigners.
- People who apply for this visa do so for purposes such as study, work, research or any other long term activity.
- Zimbabwe citizens who intend to undertake scientific or academic activity in Denmark must apply for an entry visa and a temporary residence permit in Denmark.
- Visa is granted by the Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of Denmark.
- The Long-stay visa is issued in line with the purpose of entry into Denmark and the visas are also labeled according to the purpose.

Denmark Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to people who want to go through Denmark to another country.
- There are two types of transit visa: Type-A and Type-B transit visa.
- The Type-A visa is the Airport Transit Visa that is valid for only 24 hours.
- The Type-B visa is a transit visa that is valid for not more than 5 days.
- The Type-A visa allows applicants to stay in the international zone of Denmark until they are connected to their flight.
- Holders of the transit visa are not permitted to enter the country.
- The Type-B visa allows applicants to stay in Denmark for a few days before they connect to their destination country.
