Argentina is a country in South America with a population of 44 million, the majority of which are Roman Catholics. Its big capital city Buenos Aires is famous for some impressive buildings, such as Casa Rosada, the presidential palace; Teatro Colón, a grand 1908 opera house and the modern Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires.
There are airports in the country with international and domestic flights. Argentina has an outstanding road network and getting around in this country is easy. There are long distances buses that serve food onboard and have Wi-Fi available. A rail system is also available between cities, the Buenos Aires subway system is the first underground railway in Latin America. The best way to explore this country is by road, where you can explore the beautiful landscape such as Quebrada de Humahuaca, a multi-coloured valley area which has a cathedral in a cave where you can enjoy some local music.
The official language is Argentinian Spanish, similar to Spanish but has heavy Italian influences. English, Italian, German, and Portuguese are also spoken.
The inhabitant of Buenos Aires are called Porteños and are known for being stylish. With both formal and casual wears, their dressing passes as classy and are a bit conservative as they do not show much skin. Jeans are a popular choice in Argentina.
The best time to travel is March to June and September to November, which coincides with autumn and spring respectively, these are the seasons with mild weather. Argentina is a popular tourist destination and is one of the safest places in South America.
Hiking, camping, dancing are some of the fun activities you can engage in. Argentina is big on Tango dance, and you can take up dancing classes or just tango for free on the streets. A dance and music show played by the group La Bomba de Tiempo, also takes place weekly in Buenos Aires.
The Nacional de la Tradición festival is celebrated in November in which gauchos (cowboys) from all over country ride into town and show off their cooking skills by grilling whole cows for dinner and show off their dressage. The Grape Harvest Festival in Mendoza also showcases the country’s relationship with wine and spirits.

- Los Glaciares National Park (Parque Nacional Los Glaciares), which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is also home to the Perito Moreno Glacier, on which you can attempt to walk on water.
- Ushuaia, a resort town nicknamed the end of the world
- Aconcagua, you can climb the peak of Aconcagua which is one of the highest summits in the world, and there are guided mountaineering tours offered.
- The Iguazu Falls, a spectacular waterfall that will leave you in awe.
