Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Cuban Visa.
- A valid international passport which does not expire till at least six months after entry into Cuba.
- A copy of the application form completely filled and stamped where necessary.
- One passport coloured photograph which follows the passport format for a visa application. The photo should be attached to the application form.
- Statement of account from your bank from the past three months prior to application for the visa. The statement is a proof that you have sufficient fund to cater for yourself while in the country.

- The Cuban tourist visa is meant for those who want to visit their relatives or friends who reside in Cuba.
- A letter of invitation from the relative you are going to visit is required to complete the visa processing.
- The passport details and a means of identification of the relative or host who resides in Cuba is required during the application process.
- Confirmed return flight ticket to Cameroon is needed for your visa to be granted.
- If you are travelling with a minor, you should submit the birth certificate of the minor during the visa application process.
- A letter from your current employer stating continuing employment after your period of leave.
- You are not allowed to take up paid work or any form of employment during your time in the country.
- The visa fee costs $75.
- The Cuban tourist visa is for only valid for 30 days.
- All travellers are expected to prove they have travel insurance covering medical expenses from approved foreign companies during their period of stay.
- The visa is extendable for an extra 30 days.
- If you intend to bring in pets to Cuba, you will need a veterinary certificate completed no more than 10 days before your entry to Cuba. Also, along with proof of rabies and distemper vaccination.
Cuba Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonians who want to visit or those who are in Cuba for business purposes can apply for this visa.
- Foreigners who are holders of this type of visa can attend business meetings, meet up with business partners and also sign business contracts.
- Those who have applied for this type of visa cannot take up paid work during the duration of your stay in the country.
- A letter of invitation is required from the company you are having or intend to have business dealings with.
- Certificate of employment from your current employer.
- A letter from your employer in Cameroon which confirms your period of leave and stating the purpose of your visit to Cuba is to be provided.
- This visa is not meant for tourism purpose.
- Minors should ensure they have an original copy of their birth certificate and their application forms should be signed by both parents.
- The processing time of a Cuban business visa is about three days and expires after 30 days.
- It costs about $75 for this visa.
Cuba Journalist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonians who are media representatives with the intention of travelling to Cuba temporarily for media work purposes are eligible for this type of visa.
- The activities allowed under this visa must be information gathering related only.
- A letter from your employer in Cameroon stating the purpose and duration of your visit is to be provided.
- You do not have the right to take up work or employment during the duration of stay in Cuba on this visa.
- Visiting tourist attractions for sightseeing and recreational purpose is prohibited.
- The visa is processed for 3 days and has a validity of 30 days.
