Basic Travel Requirements for Cameroonians visiting Israel

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Israeli Visa.

  •  A Cameroonian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • The parents or legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor. 
  • Two or three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken on a white background. 
  • Travel document must be completely provided.
  • Proof of financial capability.
  • A proof of accommodation or hotel reservations.
  •  A copy of return flight ticket.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country.
  •  A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.

Israel Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Cameroonians who want to stay in Israel for a short period of time are issued this type of visa.
  • Holders of this visa are those who intend visiting Israel for tourism, business meetings or study in a Hebrew plan.
  • Cameroonians are also allowed to visit friends and relatives living in Israel with this visa.
  • Applicants who have been invited for visitation by their host are required to present a letter of invitation from their host in Israel. The letter should include the host's home address, telephone number, and a valid means of identification.
  • Those with this type of visa are not permitted to take up full-time study. You can only study in Hebrew.
  • The visa is extendable. But tourists who want an extension to this visa may submit an application at one of the regional administration offices of the Ministry of the Interior.
  • Employed Cameroonians are to provide a letter from your employer stating the length of the leave and the intention of continuing employment after the period of your leave.
  • Applicants who are visiting Israel for business purposes should present a letter from the company they are visiting in Israel. Information in the letter should include the duration of your trip and the purpose of your visit.
  • Certificate of business registration of the company is required.
  • Minors will not be granted this visa without the written consent of both parents signed by an attorney. Original copy of minor’s birth certificate should also be presented.
  • A document showing that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Cameroon should be submitted.
  • A proof of payment of visa application fee is required.
  • Anyone who gain entry into Israel with a tourist visa is not allowed to seek employment.

Israel Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Cameroonians who intend to stay in Israel for a limited period of time for work purposes can apply for this visa.
  • Those who are allowed to apply are experts, artist, among others. This visa has to be approved by the Ministry of the Interior before it is issued to applicants.
  • An invitation letter from your employer confirming that you have been offered employment in Israel is required. Your job description and the company’s address should be stated in the letter.
  • A certificate of good conduct or a police report should be presented by the applicant. Applicants who have had previous convictions may not be granted this visa.
  • Certification of medical examinations performed in hospitals recognized by the mission (the certification must cover inter alia, normal result in tests for tuberculosis, hepatitis, and AIDS) and the results of blood tests.
  • A declaration of taking of a fingerprint and a photograph.
  • The visa can be extended if you want an extension to this visa, you may apply to one of the population administration offices of the Ministry of the Interior.
  • Anyone applying for this visa who does not have the adequate qualification will not be granted this visa.
  • After your visa has expired, you are required to leave the country.
  • Non-Cameroonians are required to present a copy of the residence permit in Cameroon. 

Israel Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Students who want to study in Israel in elementary and high schools, academic institutions, yeshivot and youth institutions of the Jewish Agency are eligible for this type of visa. 
  • The Student Visa is valid for at least one year and for multiple entrances and exits. The visa can be extended to cover the duration of the study while in Israel.
  • International students in Israel are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment. Consequences might follow if any student is found working without a permit. 
  • Minors are expected to provide a written consent signed by both your parents and an attorney is required before you will be granted this visa.
  • A certificate of acceptance for study at one of the educational institutions in Israel should be provided. The date of the beginning and end of the educational programme should be stated in the letter.
  • Cameroonians who have applied for a student visa are required to present proof of payment of the tuition fee if on partial or no scholarship.
  • If you are not a citizen of Cameroon,  a copy of your stay permit in Cameroon is required.
  • A proof that the visa application fee has been made.
  • Foreigners who have been previously convicted may not be granted visa and they are expected to provide a police report at the Embassy during the visa application. 

Israel Official Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The United Nations Employee Visa is an exceptional case and has a different requirement for other visa types.
  • This visa is issued to the United Nations and all its sub-groups (UNICEF, UNFPA, UNOPS, UNMAS, UN-WOMEN, UN-HABITAT, UNODC, UNIDO, UNDSS, UNDP).
  • Holders of a diplomatic and official passport do not need to pay visa fee and do not need to introduce their bank statement.
  • All UN workers and their family members need a visa to visit Israel if going on an official mission to Israel regardless of their nationality.
  • Applicants should note that this visa is not valid for entering Gaza.
  • Applicants are required to have an official letter from the United States headquarters regarding the person’s mission.
  • The documents to be submitted should not be stapled or glued.
  • In case the United Nations Employee is visiting Israel for a private reason, the applicant should apply for the appropriate visa.
  • Non-Cameroonians are required to submit a copy of their Cameroonian stay permit.
