We came to Maio for the first time on a yacht in 2010 with the intention to stay two days.
That we are still here is our testimony to the quality of life we have found here.
The Island of Maio is natural, quiet and unspoilt.
Cidade do Porto Ingles, also referred to as “Vila”, is the main town on the island with our beautiful and safe beach, Bitxe Rotxa.
We are friendly and approachable and can be found on the premises of our guesthouse Kaza Tropikal or at our nearby beach bar and restaurant Bar Tropikal on Bitxe Rotxa, two minutes’ walking distance.
