      Angola Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

        • The Angola tourist visa is issued to Congolese with the intention of visiting Angola for tourism purposes, sightseeing and recreational activities.
        • You are to provide a letter of invitaion from either your host, company or family and friends.
        • The letter will be addressed to the specific Consulate handling the visa application.
        • It should state clearly the relationship of the host to the applicant and the true purpose of travel.
        • You are permitted to attend events and festivals with this visa in Angola.
        • A letter from the applicant’s employer in DR Congo is required. This letter should introduce the applicant, confirming the allowance of leave, and should also state the duration of the trip.
          • You are to proof means of financial sufficiency either through a bank statement or any other means that is recognized by the embassy.
            • Minors under the age of 18 must submit the original copy of their birth certificate. If the minor will be traveling without supervision, a notarized consent signed by both parents is required.
            • Holders of the Angola tourist visa cannot receive payments for the services they render while they are in the country. 
            • Applicants are expected to abide by the rules of this visa.
            • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is required.
            • Holders of this visa can apply for an extension on the duration of this visa.
            • Proof of accommodation for your duration of stay in Angola should be provided during the visa application.
            • Applicants are also required to submit a copy of the flight itinerary and their return ticket.
            • Proof of civil ties to your home country is required.
            • Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.
            • You are to exit the country on or before the visa expires.

            Angola Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

            • This is the type of visa issued to Congolese traveling to Angola for business purposes.
            • A signed letter from the employer or sponsoring company addressed to the specific Angolan Consulate where the visa application will be submitted is needed.
            • The letter must be on company letterhead.
            •  In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and contact information. 
            • It should introduce the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of the visit to Angola.
            • The business letter must include a statement of guarantee of financial responsibility from the host company in Angola (or else the applicant must provide a personal bank statement).
            • Proof of travel arrangements is required.
            • This could be in the form of a computer-generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Angola.
            • You are expected to exit the country on or before the visa expires.
            • The Consulate of Angola requires an official business letter to support your application.
            • You are to provide an original or copy of a yellow fever vaccination certificate during the visa application.
            • Proof of paid visa fees should be provided.
            • Documentation or a letter confirming the collection of income tax, provided by the business to be visited in Angola is required.
            • The Consulate of Angola requires that all visa applicants provide biometric information in person at the consulate, specifically fingerprint scans, as part of the application process.

            Angola Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

            • The Work Visa is issued to Congolese who have been offered employment by an employer in Angola.
            • You must have been issued employment by an employer in Angola before applying for the Angola work visa.
            • A copy of the contract letter signed by both the employer and the employee is required from the applicant. This letter should be written on the company’s letterhead and should also state the terms of employment. 
            • Declaration by the applicant to abide by the laws of Angola (translated into Portuguese, legalized by the Notary Public and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
            • The employer should provide proof that there was no Angolan willing and available to take up the job before the applicant was offered this job.
            • You are to provide a certificate of good health issued by an official health institute from DR Congo.
            • A proof that the applicant will not be paid below the minimum wage during the period of employment is also required.
            • Applicants who do not have the right qualification that matches the job they have been offered will not be issued this visa.
            •  Applicants should undergo a medical at an accredited institution and submit a certificate that proves your good health.
            • Academic and professional certificates translated into Portuguese should be provided by the applicant.
            • Applicants should provide a criminal record.
            • Kenyans should ensure that they are vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to Angola.
            • Proof of payment of the visa application form should be presented during the visa application process.
            • All documents written in foreign languages must be translated into Portuguese by an Official Translator, legalized by a Public Notary; by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs or by the Angolan embassy.
            • The foreign national can only engage in the professional activity for which the visa was issued and to work only for the employer who requested it.
