Basic Travel Requirements for Congoleses visiting Cameroon

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Cameroonian Visa.

  • A passport with a validity of at least six (6) months.
  • 1 recent Passport Size Photograph, 7cm X 5cm or 5cm X 4cm (with the name of the applicant on the back).
  • An International Certificate of Vaccination against Yellow Fever. However, other vaccines and treatments for malaria are recommended.
  • A flight ticket or reservation with the passenger(s) name showing entry and return dates.
  • A letter of invitation or a certificate of accommodation by your host legalized by competent local Cameroonian administrative authority. 
  • Proof of means of subsistence: a signed copy of a bank statement indicating a minimum sum of 3000 dollars. 
  • Copy of marriage certificate or declaration of common-law union for persons who are married or in legal cohabitation.
  • Parental authorization for children (ages 0 to 14 ) signed in front of a notary or a commissioner of oath / legalized by administrative authorities, if done in Cameroon.

Cameroon Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  •  Applicants with the intention of visiting the country for tourist purposes such as sightseeing, holidays, leisure, and adventures are liable for the Cameroon tourist visa.
  • The Visa is issued on Short-stay with the validity of 90 days.
  • You can also spend time with friends and relatives with this type of visa.
  • Both parents must sign the visa application form of a minor.
  • Applicants with yellow fever will not be granted entry into the country.
  • If you will be staying with a relative or friend, a letter of invitation from your host is required.
  • The address of your host should be clearly stated in the letter.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period of stay is required.
  • The visa expires after 6 months.
  • You are not allowed to take up work while in the country.

  • Those who have a business relationship with companies in Cameroon can also visit the country to maintain these relationships.
  • Applicants of this visa are liable to attend meetings with your partners in the country.
  • Contracts can also be signed during your time here.
  • You are not allowed to take up paid work with this visa type.
  • This visa ceases to be valid after 6 months.
  • You are to provide a letter of invitation from the company in Cameroon. The letter should be certified by the Cameroon immigration.
  • The Business Visa is of Single and Multiple entry types.
  • The Single entry visa and multiple entry visa is processed within 7-10 business days.
  • The Single entry visa is of two types which are Expedited and Standard single entry.
  • You are not permitted to be enrolled in any institution in the country during your stay.
  • You are to exit the country on or before your visa expires.
  • Proof of paid visa fees should be provided during the visa application.

  • Applicants of this visa have been granted admission into a school or institution in Cameroon.
  • You are to provide the letter of admission from the school in the country to prove you have been accepted by the institution in Cameroon.
  • If the applicant is below the age of 18, both parents must sign the application form.
  • Proof of accommodation is also required.
