Basic Travel Requirements for Congoleses visiting Italy

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.


  • Applicants are required to correctly fill and sign the Italy visa application form.
  • The application form of minors should be signed by both parents/legal guardians of the Minor.
  • Recent passport photographs (35 by 45 mm) should be taken against a white background.
  • Original DR Congo passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended stay in Italy.
  • The passport must have at least 3 blank pages for the Italian visa stamp.
  • A copy of the applicant’s travel itinerary showing travel details and dates of arrival and departure from Italy.
  • Travel/medical insurance that is valid for the whole duration of stay in Italy is required.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations in Italy is required.
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the whole period of stay in Italy.
  • No photocopy will be accepted, except for the photocopy of the identity card or passport of the inviting party residing in Italy. 
  • Monors are required to submit written consent in the form of a Sworn Affidavit issued by a High Court including the parent’s identity card and a copy of their original birth certificate.
