Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Denmark

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Danish Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than six months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
  • Visa application form completed and signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past six months prior to the period of visa application. This shows that the applicant can cater for himself/herself during his/her stay in the country.

Denmark Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of visiting Denmark for tourism and leisure.
  • Foreigners who are also visiting Denmark to take part in short term business activities are also eligible for this visa.
  • For you to be granted this visa for business purposes, there must be an actual commercial relationship between the host company and the inviting company.
  • The purpose of the applicant’s visit must be related to the applicant’s line of business in Egypt.
  • Foreigners who have the intention of living with their spouse, cohabiting partner or other family members in the country can also apply for this visa.
  • Applicants of this visa should note that they are not allowed to work unless the Immigration Service has explicitly granted them the right to.
  • Foreigners cannot enroll in any of the academic institutions in the country.
  • A document which shows that the applicant of this visa has the intention of leaving the country on or before the visa expires.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.
  • Minors should ensure they are in possession of the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate. A letter of consent signed by both parents of the minor is also required.

Denmark Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Work Visa is issued to foreigners who have been offered employment by an employer in Denmark.
  • Before initiating the visa application process, the applicant must ensure that they have been offered employment in Denmark.
  • The employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee which states the terms of employment should be provided.
  • Researchers who have been offered employment at a research institute or company in Denmark are free to apply for this visa.
  • Proof that the applicant will not be paid below the minimum wage paid to other Danish nationals is required.
  • Foreigners who do not have the right qualification that matches the job they have been offered will not be issued this visa.
  • People working in Denmark are free to do unpaid voluntary work while they are in the country.
  • If you are offered a new job, you must apply for a new permit. This also applies if you are offered a new position within the same company.
  • A copy of your resume or Curriculum Vitae should be provided.

Denmark Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of studying in any of the academic institutions in the country.
  • Foreigners must have been accepted into an educational institution before they are granted this visa.
  • A letter of acceptance printed on the institution’s letterhead stating the course the applicant has been offered and the duration of the study programme.
  • The educational institution must be publically accredited and must offer a full-time study.
  • Applicants who have completed a higher educational programme in Denmark will be granted a 6-month residence permit to look for employment.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided during the visa application process.
  • Applicants of this visa are entitled to partly user paid Danish lessons. The applicant must have turned 18 and have their Danish address registered in the Danish National Register before they can enjoy this benefit.
  • Certificates and transcripts of the previous institutions attended by the applicant are required.
  • International students are not allowed to work during their study programme in Denmark.
