Application requirements
Documents Egyptian applicants need to provide.
- Passport with a validity of at least six months from the period of exiting the country. The passport must contain two blank pages.
- Correctly filled visa application form signed by the applicant.
- Two copies of identical passport photographs taken with a white background. The photographs must not be older than 6 months.
- Original bank statement covering the last six months prior to the period of visa application.
- Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
- Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Travel itinerary.
- Proof of civil status.

Tourist visa
- Foreigners applying for this visa have the intention of visiting Estonia for the purpose of recreation, relaxation, and sightseeing.
- Egyptians who are traveling to Estonia to visit their friends and relatives can also apply for this visa.
- If you are visiting someone in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and should also contain the valid contact information of the host.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer should be provided. The letter should introduce the applicant, state the applicant’s job position, and the duration of the leave.
- A copy of your residence permit in Egypt is required.
- Underaged children are required to submit the original copy of their birth certificate which carries both names of their parents. If the applicant is traveling with one or none of their parents, a letter of consent signed by both their parents is required.
- Tourists are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in the country.
- You can attend festivals and events that pique your interest while you are in the country.
- Proof of the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa is required.
Business visa
- Businessmen and businesswomen traveling to Estonia to engage in business activities are eligible for this visa.
- Business contracts can be negotiated and signed by partners during any of the various business meetings.
- Foreigners who have the intention of visiting Estonia to attend seminars, trade fairs, and conferences are also eligible for this visa.
- An official letter of invitation from the company in Estonia printed on the company letterhead should be provided. The letter should introduce the applicant and contain the valid contact address of the company, as well as, the duration and purpose of the visit.
- A letter from the applicant’s employer in Egypt confirming awareness and allowance of the business leave is required. The letter must contain the contact information of the company, applicant’s job position, salary level, and duration of the visit.
- The business letter from the host company should also state who bears the cost during the applicant’s visit to the country.
- If there have been previous business dealings between the two companies, proof of this is required.
- Non-Egyptians should provide a copy of a valid residence permit during the visa application process.
- Foreigners are not permitted to receive payments for the services they render while they are in the country.
Medical visa
- The Medical Visa is issued to foreign nationals visiting Estonia for medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their home country.
- Applicants are required to provide a certificate from a medical institution in Egypt stating the medical history of the patient and the kind of medical treatment that is needed.
- A letter from the receiving medical institution in Estonia stating that it can perform the specific treatment needed by the applicant. The contact information of the medical institution and the duration of medical treatment should be stated in the letter.
- Proof of financial arrangements made for medical costs is required.
- Minors are required to present the original copy of their birth certificate which bears the names of their parents.
- Foreigners are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment or study during their time in the country.

- A letter of acceptance from the institution that the applicant has been accepted into should be provided. The letter should state the course that the applicant has been accepted into and the duration of the study programme.
- Foreign students are allowed to work for a period of time, as long as it does not affect the applicant’s study.
- Applicants should provide the certificates and transcripts gotten from previously attended schools.
- Non-Egyptians applying for this visa from Egypt should provide a copy of their residence permit.
- Applicants who are under the age of 18 years should provide their original birth certificate carrying both names of their parents.
- Foreigners in the country are not allowed to seek public funds.
- A document which shows that the applicant has a clean bill of health is required.
- This visa can be extended to cover the length of the study programme.
Work visa
- This visa is issued to foreigners to take up long-term residence while working in Estonia.
- Before initiating the visa application process, the applicant of this visa must have been issued employment in the country.
- A letter of employment signed by both the employer and employee is required. The letter should include the terms of employment and state the job the applicant has been offered.
- This visa is issued for the duration of the employer-employee relationship but not for more than 2 years. The validity of the visa can be extended repeatedly.
- Applicants who do not have the right qualification that matches the job they have been offered will not be issued this visa.
- Proof that there was no citizen of Estonia willing and available to take up the job you were offered should be provided.
- A document which shows that you have the incentive of returning to your home country at the expiry of your visa is required.
- A copy of your resume or CV is required.
Transit visa
- This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of making short stops in Estonia.
- This visa enables foreigners to join a connecting flight from Estonia to the country of their destination.
- Visa and other entry permits of the destination country are required.
- Flight ticket of the destination country should be provided.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged copy of your birth certificate should be provided.
- Foreigners are not allowed to be paid for the services they render during their time in the country.
- You cannot enroll in any of the institutions in the country.
- Foreigners are expected to leave the country on or before the visa expires.
