Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It is dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII.

Gibraltar Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Gibraltar business visa is for applicants who are coming solely for business purposes, seminars or lectures.
  • Applicants are to provide a copy of their bank statement of the last 6 months.
  • In a case where one does not have a bank account or does not own enough funds to take care of their expenses during this travel, one must ask the visiting friends or relatives to sign an “official affidavit of support” at the corresponding office in his/her place of residence. Make sure you carry the original document when applying for the visa.
  • A copy of the applicant's travel Itinerary is to be submitted and this should detail the dates and flight tickets.
  • A letter from your employer back in  your home country on the company's letterhead stating your duration of employment, permission to go on leave and also stating that you will be returning back to your job is to be submitted.
  • A letter from the company in Gibraltar stating if there have been previous trade relations is also required.
  • Applicants of this visa are not allowed to take up either paid or unpaid employment in Gibraltar.

Gibraltar Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa type is for Egyptians who are traveling to Gibraltar for leisure, sightseeing, relaxation and tourism purposes.
  • Employed applicants are to submit their employment contract and release permission from their employer.
  • They are to also submit their current bank statement and Income tax return(ITR) or certificate of income tax.
  • For self-employed applicants, a copy of their business license, company bank statement and Income Tax return are required.
  • Applicants who are students are to submit a No-Objection Certificate(NOC) from their school.
  • Retirees are to submit their pension statements for the last 6 months.
  • If you are an unemployed applicant and you are married to a Gibraltarian, you are to provide confirmation of your spouse's employment which must not be older than three months from their employer stating their position held within the company as well as the starting date.
  • You are also to provide your spouse's passport which must be valid and also your marriage certificate.
  • Minor applicants are to submit a copy of their birth certificate and their application form which must be signed by both parents.
  • You are to provide a family court order if only one parent has full custody over the child and certified copies of both parents' ID and passport.
