Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Guatemala

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Guatemalan Visa.


  • A completed and signed visa application form.
  • Two recently taken passport photos within the last three months and must follow the visa photo requirements.
  • A valid passport not older than 10 years and should be valid for at least three more months beyond the exit date from Guatemala.
  • Older passports with visas on them should be attached as well.
  • Round trip reservation or itinerary must include dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Guatemala. 
  • A travel insurance policy that proves that you have travel health insurance for your entire stay in Guatemala, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros in case of any medical emergency.
  • Proof of accommodation which could be a hotel/hostel booking, a rental agreement, or a letter of invitation from your host in Guatemala.
  • A bank statement showing that you have enough money in your account for the trip. The statement should not be older than 3 months.
  • Sponsorship letter by another person that confirms that they will be financially supporting your trip to Guatemala and it should be accompanied by a bank statement of the sponsor. 
  • A combination of your own bank account statement and a letter of sponsorship.
  • Proof of paid visa fee of €60 for adults and €35 for children from 6 to 12 years old.
