Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Iraqi Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.
  • Correctly filled visa application form duly signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof of a steady and continuous flow of funds.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.

Iraq Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners applying for this visa are those traveling to Iraq for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation.
  • This visa allows foreign nationals to visit their friends and relatives who hold permanent residence in the country.
  • Applicants honoring the invitation of their friends and relatives are required to present a letter of invitation from their host. The letter must state the relationship between the applicant and the host and must contain the valid contact information of the host.
  • Tourists can attend events and festivals that are of interest to them in the country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Egypt is required. The letter must state the applicant’s job position, salary level, and length of the applicant’s employment.
  • Minors applying for this visa are required to be in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate carrying both names of their parents.
  • This visa does not allow you to take up paid or unpaid employment during your time in the country.
  • Non-Egyptians should provide a copy of their Egypt residence permit.
  • Receipt that shows that payment of visa application fee has been paid in full is required.

  • Businessmen and businesswomen who have the intention of traveling to Iraq to engage in business activities are the eligible applicants of this visa.
  • This visa enables business travelers to negotiate and sign business contracts during business meetings.
  • Foreigners in the country are allowed to attend trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars relating to their profession.
  • An official letter invitation from the inviting company in Iraq is required. The letter must state the nature of the business to be performed and the duration of the applicant’s visit.
  • The business letter must state the who will bear the responsibility for the applicant’s finances in the country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Egypt is required. The letter must state the job position, salary level, and length of the applicant’s employment.
  • If there have been previous trade relations between the host company and the sponsoring company, proof of such events is required.
