Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Luxembourg

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Luxembourger Visa.

  • Valid passport issued within the last ten years. The passport must contain two blank pages and be valid for not less than 3 months after the intended exit from the country.
  • One copy of the correctly completed visa application form signed by the applicant.
  • One recent passport-sized photograph taken with a white background. The passport must follow the photo specification of a visa application.
  • Bank statement from the last three months prior to the visa application. This is evidence of a steady and continuous flow of funds.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Proof of civil status.

Luxembourg Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to Egyptians traveling to Luxembourg for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation purposes.
  • Applicants of this visa may have been invited to the country by their friends or relatives living in the country.
  • A letter of invitation signed by the applicant’s host in the country should be provided. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and must also contain the valid contact information of the applicant.
  • If you are employed, a certificate of employment issued by your employer must be provided. This certificate must specify the date of employment, job position, and salary level of the applicant.
  • Foreigners in Luxembourg can attend and participate in festivals and events taking place in the country.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, the original copy of the applicant’s birth certificate is required. If the applicant is traveling with one or none of his/her parents, a notarized consent signed by both the parents should be provided.
  • During your time in the country, you are not allowed to be gainfully employed.
  • Proof that payment of paid visa application fee is required.
  • Non-Egyptians should provide a copy of their Egyptian residence permit. This permit should be valid for at least three months from the intended period of exiting the country.

Luxembourg Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Business Visa is issued to Egyptians who are traveling to Luxembourg to engage in various business activities.
  • Foreigners in Luxembourg for business can negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners during business meetings.
  • Holders of this visa can attend business seminars, trade fairs, and conferences relating to their profession.
  • A letter of invitation from the inviting company in Luxembourg containing the contact information of the company, nature of the business to be carried out, and the duration of the applicant’s visit is required.
  • The letter must also state who will bear the travel and living cost of the applicant.
  • The applicant must provide a letter from his/her employer in Egypt introducing the applicant, stating the purpose of the visit, and the duration of the business leave.
  • Proof of previous trade relations between the host company and inviting company should be provided, if any.
  • Copy of the Egyptian company’s registry or tax card is required.
  • Proof that the visa application fee has been made should be provided.
  • You are expected to leave the country at the expiry of this visa.

Luxembourg Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Luxembourg to seek and receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their country.
  • A certificate from the applicant’s medical doctor in Egypt is required. The certificate should state the medical history of the patient and what kind of medical treatment is needed.
  • An official document from the receiving medical institution in Luxembourg confirming that it can perform the specific medical treatment required by the applicant.
  • Proof that the applicant can afford the medical costs and any extra cost that may arise is required.
  • Any other correspondence between the sending medical doctor and the receiving medical institution is required.
  • Minors applying for this visa must provide the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate. If they are traveling with one or none of their parents, a letter of consent signed by both their parents should be provided.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fees should be provided.
  • During your time in the country, you are not allowed to be gainfully employed or take up a course of study.
  • You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.

Luxembourg Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who enrolled and have been accepted to study in an academic institution in Luxembourg.
  • A letter of acceptance from the institution the applicant has been accepted into is required. The letter should be printed on the institution’s letterhead and should state the course the applicant will be studying and the duration of the study programme.
  • Certificates and transcripts obtained from previously attended schools should be provided during the visa application process.
  • International students are permitted to work part-time while school is in session and part-time when on break.
  • Applicants who are not citizens of Egypt are required to provide a copy of their Egyptian residence permit.
  • Minors applying for this visa should provide the original copy of their birth certificate. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor is required if the minor is traveling without his/her parents.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fee should be provided.
  • Foreigners with the intention of studying in Luxembourg should have a valid Luxembourgish residence permit.
  • Holders of this visa are not permitted to seek public funds while they are in the country.

Luxembourg Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners who have been offered paid employment by an employer in Luxembourg are the eligible applicants of this visa.
  • A letter from your employer in Luxembourg is required. The letter should state the terms of the employment contract, valid contact details of the company, and the job position of the applicant.
  • Proof that there was no Norwegian willing and available to take up the job the applicant was offered is required.
  • Applicants of this visa must not be paid below the minimum wage paid to nationals of Luxembourg. Proof of this is required.
  • Foreigners whose qualification does not match the job they have been offered will not be issued this visa.
  • You must obtain a work permit to work in Luxembourg.
