Entry Requirements

  • Citizens of Egypt travelling to Suriname can apply for an electronic visa for a period of 30 days.
  • Egyptian passports must be valid for the period of stay in the country.
  • Visitors should provide a blank page n their passports for entry stamps.
  • A copy of ticket showing entry and departure from Suriname is also required.
  • Visitors are required to provide a Yellow Fever certificate of vaccination at the port of entry into the country.
  • Pet animals, including wildlife, must be accompanied by an official certificate of veterinary health that is issued in the home country not be more than 2 weeks before departure.
  • All travellers are not required to pay any airport tax upon departing from the airport.
  • Importation of local currency is allowed up to 150 SRD (Suriname Dollar) and for foreign currencies not higher than 10,000 USD.
  •  Import of ammunition, firearms and other weapons requires an import licence.
  • Residents must have proof of ownership if returning with personal properties such as bicycles, tape recorders, photo cameras and video cameras (with article numbers).
  • Meat and meat products, all fruits except for moderate amounts imported from the Netherlands for personal use, coffee, cacao, fish, bulbs, vegetables, plants, rice, roots are prohibited from entering Suriname.
