Basic Travel Requirements for Egyptians visiting Turkey

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Turkish Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of at least three months from the intended date of exiting the country. The passport must have at least two blank pages.
  • Correctly completed visa application form which is signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof that the applicant is capable of taking care of him/her self while in the country.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.

Turkey Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners applying for this visa have the intention of visiting Turkey for leisure and tourism purposes.
  • This visa allows foreign nationals to visit their friends or relatives who hold permanent residence in the country.
  • If you are visiting a friend or relative in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should contain the home address and telephone number of the host, as well as, a valid means of identification of the host.
  • Applicants who are employed should provide a certificate of employment from their employer. The certificate should include the job position, length of employment, and salary level of the applicant.
  • Minors applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of the original and a copy of their birth certificate. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should also be provided.
  • Foreigners cannot take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in the country.
  • You can attend festivals and events that are of interest to you.
  • Non-Egyptians should ensure they possess a copy of their Egyptian residence permit.

Turkey Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Business travelers who have the intention of meeting up with their business partners to develop and maintain working relationships are eligible for this visa.
  • During any of the business meetings with your partners, you can sign and negotiate business contracts with your partner companies.
  • You are allowed to attend business seminars, conferences, and trade fairs relating to your profession.
  • An official invitation letter from the inviting company in Turkey should be provided. The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by the authorized signatory of the company.
  • The letter from the inviting company must state the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the business visit.
  • The business letter must also state who will be taking responsibility for the applicant’s expenses in the country.
  • If you are employed, a letter from your employer printed on the company’s letterhead is required. The letter should introduce the applicant, state the applicant’s job position, and salary level.
  • Proof of previous business relations between the inviting company and the sponsoring company should be provided, if any.
  • Applicants of this visa are prohibited from being gainfully employed while they are in the country.
  • Proof of payment of paid visa application fee is required.

Turkey Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who are traveling to Turkey to seek or receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their home country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s doctor in Egypt stating the nature of the illness of the applicant.
  • An official letter from the receiving doctor or medical institution is required. The letter should state confirmation from the medical institution that it can administer the specific treatment needed by the applicant.
  • Any other correspondence between the local doctor and the doctor in Turkey should be provided.
  • Applicants who are not citizens of Egypt should ensure they submit a copy of their Egyptian residence permit.
  • If you are a minor, the original copy of your birth certificate carrying both names of your parent is required. If you are traveling with one or none of your parents, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Proof that the applicant can afford the medical fees and any other extra costs that may arise while in the country.
  • You are expected to abide by all the rules guiding this visa.
  • A document which shows that the applicant has the incentive of returning to their home country is required.

Turkey Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners who have been offered employment by a company in Turkey are the eligible applicants of this visa.
  • Applicants of this visa should ensure they have been offered employment in the company before they are issued this visa.
  • A certificate of employment printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by the employer is required. The letter must contain the terms of the employment contract and the nature of the job the applicant will be doing.
  • The employer in Turkey must provide proof that there was no citizen of Turkey willing and available to work at the time you were offered this visa should be provided.
  • Applicants whose qualification does not correspond to the job they have been offered will be refused this visa.
  • A copy of the applicant’s CV or Resume is required.
  • The documents to be submitted by the applicant must be translated into the English language if they were not originally issued in English.
  • Proof that you will not be paid below the minimum wage paid to other Turkey nationals.

Turkey Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of studying in any of the academic institutions in the country.
  • A letter of acceptance from the institution you have been accepted to study should be provided. The letter should state the course the applicant will be studying and the duration of the study.
  • Certificates and transcripts obtained from the schools previously attended by the applicant.
  • Minors applying for this visa should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate during the visa application process.
  • An extension to this visa can be granted to cover the duration of the applicant’s study programme.
  • Proof that the applicant is able to pay the tuition fees and any other expenses that may arise.
  • Foreigners can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fee is required.

Turkey Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of making short stops in Turkey.
  • Foreigners can transit through Turkey to their destination country.
  • Traveling from Egypt to Turkey and from Turkey back to Egypt cannot be regarded as transit.
  • Applicants should ensure they provide the flight ticket to their destination country.
  • Visa and other entry permits of the destination country should be provided.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
  • This visa cannot be extended.
  • You are required to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
