Germany visa requirements for Liberians

This German tourist visa is issued to Liberians visiting Germany for tourist purposes.

Liberians with the intention of visiting friends and relatives can do so on this visa.

Applicants visiting a friend or relative would require to submit a letter of invitation.

The letter should clearly state the purpose and duration of the visit.

If the applicant is employed, a letter from his employer would be required.

The letter should state their awareness and duration of leave of the applicant alongside the applicant's job specification.

A copy of the guarantor’s form issued by the appropriate authority in Germany and signed by the inviting friend or relative is required.

Applicants passport with a validity of 6 months and beyond the proposed date of travel should be submitted.

If self-employed, a Certificate of Incorporation of the business or company should be provided. The company’s bank statement from the past three months is required.

Minors should provide the original copy of their birth certificate, as well as a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor.

Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.

Proof of incentive of returning to Liberia at the expiration of their visa should be submitted.

Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.

Applicants travel itinerary should be submitted.

The business visa is issued to Liberians travelling for business purposes.

Bearers of this visa can attend conferences, meetings, business summits, and trade fairs whilst they are in the country.

A letter from the applicant’s employer stating the purpose and duration of the applicant's visit should be submitted.

A letter from the host company in Germany should be submitted. The letter should state the nature of business and duration and the applicant's visit.

If the host company in Germany will be financially responsible for the applicant visit, it should be clearly stated in their letter.

The certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting up with should be provided.

Self-employed applicants are to submit a copy of their Income Tax Return for the last 6 months.

Proof of previous business dealings should be submitted.

Applicants travel health insurance with a minimum value of 30,000 euros should be provided. 

Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.

Proof of incentive of returning to Liberia at the expiration of their visa should be submitted by applicants.

Liberians visiting Germany for study purposes are the recipients of this visa.

Applicants should ensure that they have been offered admission into an institute of learning before initiating the visa application process.

Applicants passport with a validity of not less than 6 months from the proposed date of travel should be submitted.

Applicants should submit a copy of their admission letter from the institution of study.

Transcripts and certificates that qualifies the applicant for the course of study should be submitted.

If the certificates do not match the specified course the applicant might be denied visa.

Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted.

Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.

Applicants are to provide proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 covering any medical emergency for the duration of their stay.

Proof of medical fitness showing that the applicant is free from all forms of communicable diseases should be submitted.

Yellow fever vaccination is compulsory.

Proof of clean criminal record should be submitted by the applicant.

For minors, a letter of authorization signed by both parents and the original copy of your birth certificate should be presented.

International students are permitted to  work part-time when school is in section and full time during holidays

Applicants are advised to learn German since most instruction and some courses in school are written in German.
