Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan, the former capital of Pakistan was the coastal city of Karachi, which was selected by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, but was later selected as Islamabad on the 14th of August 1967. The best time to visit Pakistan is from May - October, because it has the most favourable weather condition with little to no snow in the country.
Pakistan experience four distinct seasons; a cold, dry winter from December to February; a hot and dry spring from March to May; a wet, rainy summer from June to September, it is also known as the southwest monsoon period; and a retreating monsoon period from October to November; these may vary in different locations.
There are over 30 ethnic groups in Pakistan.
Pakistan is deeply rooted in Islamic religion, it was the first Indian subcontinent region to be fully impacted by Islam, and this has over time developed a distinct Islamic identity different from other areas.
Pakistani cuisine is mainly influenced by a mix of Indian, Middle Eastern and Afghanistan cuisine.

The official language in Pakistan is Urdu, along with English, but there are several regional languages common in Pakistan like Saraiki, Pashto, Sindhi, Brahui, Balochi, Kashmiri, Hindko, Shina, Punjabi, Balti, Khowar, Dhatki, Haryanvi, Marwari, Wakhi and Burushaski.
Pakistan is home to many festivals and events, most of which are Muslim festivals like; Ramadan - which is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, the month of fasting where Special foods are cooked in greater quantities, parties are held; Chand Raat - which is the last day of Ramadan; Eid celebrations - These are the Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha, and they signify the end of the fasting month of Ramadan; other festivals are, Jashn-e-Baharan - This is pre- Islamic Punjabi festival that celebrated the coming of spring; Independence Day - This is celebrated all over the country to remember the independence of the Pakistani people from British India on the 14th of August; Defense Day Parade - On the 6th of September, the army of Pakistan, displays Pakistani weaponry to the general public.
Pakistan is home to beautiful sceneries and magnificent landscapes, there are many attractions and places to visit, and some of these are:
- Faisal Mosque - Built in 1986, the Faisal Mosque is located in the capital city Islamabad. It was named after Faisal container Abdul-Aziz, the Saudi ruler who recommended the possibility of a national Pakistani mosque, and generally financed its development.
- Mazar-e-Quaid - Located in Karachi, Mazar-e-Quaid is made of white marbles by the Yahya Merchant. It was built in memory of the individual who was behind Pakistan’s freedom.
- Shandur Top - Located in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Chitral region, although covered in snow in the winter, the Shandur Top transforms to a lavish green landscape in the summer, and it offer a magnificent landscapes for photographers and is also the home of the Shandur Polo Festival.
- Pakistan Monument - Located in Islamabad, it was introduced by Arif Masood on 23 March 2007 as a national landmark exemplifying the nation’s history, and is as a result rich with noteworthy social references. It represents four areas and three domains into which Pakistan is subdivided in the shape of a blooming blossom.
- Lahore Fort - Located in Lahore, although the date of construction has not been accurately discovered, the fort was wrecked and reconstructed with consumed blocks. It showcases the rich history of the Pakistani people and is a top spot for tourists.
There are over 5,000 hotels and accommodations in Pakistan. Another amazing fact about Pakistan is that it has the biggest irrigation system in the world, in the Indus basin.
