- The Germany visitor or tourist visa is for people who wish to enter Germany with the purpose of visiting friends or relatives or to just sightsee and experience the country and its culture.
- It is a short stay visa valid for 90 days and is extendable.

- Employed applicants are to present a letter from their employer. The letter should state that the employer is aware of the trip and that the applicant would return to their job after the trip.

- Self-employed applicants should have a copy of their tax clearance and business registration certificate.
- If you are retired, your retirement certificate should be provided.
- Applicants are expected to submit their applications in person as an interview would be required and biometrics would be taken.
- The host company in Germany should issue a letter of invitation stating the nature of businesses to be conducted, the duration of the business and the financier of the trip.
- If the host company will not finance the trip, a recent bank statement showing enough funds for the trip should be submitted.

Germany Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Germany student visa is for foreigners who wish to enter the country with the sole purpose of attending a language course or to continue their studies at an educational institution in Germany.
- Before applying for this visa you must have been accepted into an institution or school in Germany.
- You will also need to show proof that you satisfy the conditions for access to studying in Germany. This could be academic results or previously obtained learning certificates.
- A medical certificate stating you don’t carry any diseases that may endanger public health (such as TB, diseases that require quarantine and other infectious diseases) is also to be submitted.
- Proof of financial sustenance for the entire stay in Germany is needed. This could be a valid scholarship offer, recent bank statement from your sponsor or guardian, letter attesting sponsorship and a valid ID of your sponsor.
- Medical certificate issued not more than 6 months to the date of application is also important.
- A certificate of good conduct not more than 6 months to the date of the application is required to show that you have not been convicted of any crimes.
- A letter of authorization signed by both parents and the original birth certificate is to be submitted for minor applicants.
- You can take up employment with this visa type but you are restricted to the number of days you can work. This means that you can work 120 full days each year or 240 half days.
- It will be necessary for you to learn the German language seeing that it is the language of instruction at most educational institutions in Germany.
- All students undertaking a German-taught program will need to be able to demonstrate a firm knowledge of the language, either by means of a language test result or by taking a preparatory course.
