Know More About Angola Hotels

Angola has its most populous and capital city in the city of Luanda. The best travel time to visit Angola is the dry months of June to October, when the weather is warm and dry, conditions which are ideal for exploring the city. The climate seasons in Angola is spilt into the dry and wet seasons. Angola is made of diverse ethnicities which are dominated by the Bantu and the culture of Angola is influenced by the Portuguese, just like the Angolan cuisine. Its popular foods are spicy goat stews, Farofa and chicken muamba. Majority of the population are predominantly Christians while a small percentage are Muslims. Portuguese is the official language spoken here with a bit of French and English. You will find that most of the locals also speak Kikongo, Umbundu, and Kimbundu.

The major international gateway into Angola is through the Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in Luanda, which makes getting into Angola easy, as several airlines are serving under its international airport. Train tickets are hard to purchase here and doesn’t seem like a reliable form of commuting around the country. Taxis, mini bus cabs and local buses are the best way to get around cities in Angola because they are safer and more convenient. Tourists are advised against travelling alone at night, especially in the city of Luanda where crime rates are high and street crimes are frequent.

Angola is a country with incredible geographic wonders and a rich cultural heritage. From its spectacular beaches to its beautiful parks, Angola is a great tourist destination. You will find some of the most attractive beaches Angola has to offer in the town of Benguela. The city of Luanda is home to colonial ruins, historic monuments and museums. The best place to enjoy breathtaking beach views, expensive delicious cuisines and a hip nightlife is in Luanda. Lubango City is known for its lush tropical valleys and has one of the largest preserves of colonial architecture in Angola. Angolans are party lovers and most of the festivals they celebrate are centered around art, music and religion. Their festivals include the Luanda Island Feast, Sumbe Music Festival, Angola Carnival and Lubango Festival which features music performances, fashion parades, a sports tournament, motorbike racing, and the prestigious Miss Huila beauty pageant.

Angola’s natural beauty is evident in its scenic coastline, waterfalls and rivers to the colorful landscapes. It is a bag of adventure waiting to be discovered. There are over 3000 places of interest to see and things to do like:

The Kwanza Sul, where the famed Cubal Canyon, age old fortresses, Neolithic cave paintings and Conde Hot Springs can be found.

The Iona National Park which is the largest and most visited attraction in Angola. You can explore the wildlife animal paradise and the magnificent rock formations are great for picturesque views and photos.

The Lake Arco which is a freshwater oasis with superb rock formations. Here, you will find a diverse range of bird life, and flora and fauna.

The Namib Desert, the oldest desert on earth. You will see a spectacular stretch of sand dunes and rock formations here.

The Pululukwa resort, an ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery and nature. Throughout the park, you will find wild animals, zebras, antelopes, Angolan Chicken and even Ostriches and crocodiles. You have a lot to explore like the wooden paths, several lakes, different resting points and even fruit farms.

There are a lot of accommodation options to choose from when you are in Angola. You can either stay at a hotel or a resort. Airbnb is also a viable option too.
