The tourism industry in Grenada is a major driving force to the Grenadian economy. With the construction of a large cruise ship pier and esplanade, the industry has increased dramatically. About 314,216 tourists visited Grenada in 2018 which was a 21.2 percent increase in the number of tourists who visited the previous year.
Drug offenses are treated harshly. Severe punishments are handed out to anyone caught being involved in drug offenses.
Citizens of the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Caribbean countries (except Cuba), Venezuela, and European Union countries are allowed to visit Grenada without a visa.
