San Marino is a mountainous country enclosed in by Italy. Despite being one of the smallest countries in the world (with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants), San Marino still boasts of several tourist attractions. Of particular note is the many historical architectures that have survived thousands of years and still stand magnificent around the country. Also located within the country is a museum that boasts ancient history and weapons. One landmark that tourists would be sure to love is the Cava dei Balestrieri, a hub of entertainment featuring an open-air theatre and a crossbow range.
As the oldest republic in the world and also home to one of the UNESCO world heritage, the "San Marino: Historic Centre and Mount Titano", San Marino attracts hordes of tourists all-year-round, thus making tourism a major contributor to its GDP.
