Uzbekistan is a country with rich historical, archeological and cultural heritage. The country is best known for its mosques, mausoleums, and Islamic architecture. A survey showed that 39% of tourists visit Uzbekistan because of their interest in architectural and historical sites while 24% visit the country to observe its culture.
From January to September 2018, Uzbekistan received 1.8 million tourists which follows an increase of 17% from the corresponding period during the previous year. There has been an improvement in the tourist industry with an increase in the number of tourist organizations, tour operators and hotels. Tourism is bound to increase in years to come.
Uzbekistan is an Islamic country, Islamic culture and religious beliefs should be respected at all times. You should not try to preach to or convert someone of another faith to your faith.
